WNBA GMs Added to Basketball Reference

Eagle-eyed Basketball Reference users may have noticed a recent addition to the site: WNBA Executives! Our data developer Charlotte Eisenberg identified the executive-chain (which we define as the executive in charge of player personnel decisions) for every WNBA franchise. This has allowed us to add several new features. For instance,  Carol Blazejowski now has a page documenting her draft picks, trades and free agent signing during her 13 years as the player personnel executive with the New York Liberty.

Every franchise now has a page where you can view all of their executives on the franchise register.

Additionally, we have added WNBA Executive of the Year Award winners. This honor will also show up on executive pages of winners, such as Cheryl Reeve.

WNBA executive changes were not always well-reported, so in some cases you will see blank and/or non-specific dates for when GM-duty switched hands. If you have access to any of this missing information, please let us know, and we will get it added.
