Just a quick note to let you know that I have added play-by-play summaries, shot charts, and plus/minus reports to the Box Scores section for all of the games in our database that have play-by-play data.

We now have player biographical information updated through 2011, featuring updated full names and ages for players.

The 2012 NFL Draft Preview has been updated to reflect compensatory picks for free agency as well as the latest trades.

The annual McDonald's High School All-American Game is this week, so here's a reminder that you can find historical rosters for the McDonald's teams going back to the 1st game in 1977, under the Awards section of the site. Congrats to all the selections, and good luck to them in the next stage of their hoops careers.

Due to a combination of poor planning on my end and some snafus with data we are provided with, Baseball-Reference will begin updating daily with the Marlins/Cardinals tilt on April 4th.

Updating the site for a new season is always a harrowing experience given the multitude of interconnected moving parts. We are continually simplifying the process, but between the SABR Conference two weeks ago, the NLB launch, a couple of new servers we have coming online and my dawdling we aren't going to be ready to update the Mariners and A's games this week. I apologize to our users who want to see that data ASAP, but we'll make sure we are ready to go next week.

Negro League Stats: 1903-1948

We are very pleased and honored to announce that we have added Negro League Statistics from 1903 through 1948. These stats are due to a pair of collaborations. The first is between Baseball-Reference.com and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum (1920-1948 data), and the second is between B-R and Gary Ashwill and Scott Simkus of Outsider Baseball (1903-1919 data).

The details of what is and is not included is understandably complicated and the list of contributors very long, so we have provided a detailed rundown of the stats and the people who researched them.

Special thanks also to Ted Turocy who helped immensely with the integration of the stats into our existing databases.

By popular demand, we have added a Player Plus/Minus Finder to the Basketball-Reference Play Index+. This new tool allows you to search through thousands of game logs to find the player whose team had the best offensive rating, best defensive rating, and best net rating while the player was on the floor (plus much, much more). For example, here are the raw +/- leaders (minimum 10,000 minutes) since 2001:
