Here's an updated video to describe the Sports-Reference Automatic Player Linker tools, which are now available for college football & basketball and hockey:

Also, here's the old tutorial video:

As always, if you want to be included in the program, just email me with the following information:

  • the name of your site to appear in the feed (at most 25 characters)
  • the url for your rss feed (must be a full feed)
  • a contact e-mail address
  • the url of an example page with our links in place

    Hi Neil,
For weeks now, I have been trying to get my posts linked to B-R player newsfeeds. I've embedded the S-R Linker hyperlinks on my webpages (see attached URL). I've submitted the online request form 2-3 times (I forget exactly) with the required information. When I didn't get a response, I submitted a feedback form asking for an explanation. Despite my multiple requests, I've received no response at all. Nothing. The online form promises some sort of response within a few days. I sponsor a number of pages on B-R, which makes this impression of my being completely locked out very frustrating. . .AYT

    Hi Anita,

Sorry about that -- we use a 3rd-party bug-tracking software called FogBugz to manage our feedback, and sometimes its spam filter can malfunction, unfortunately. Send your email directly to me at [email protected], and I'll take care of it.

    Hi David,

We're sorry, but we don't have any addresses (e-mail or otherwise) for players. For retired players, I would suggest you contact the National Football League Players Association.
