Fill out your brackets with our NCAA Basketball Tempo-Free Ratings

Posted by Neil on March 18, 2013

Tempo-free stats have become all the rage in college basketball recently -- and why? Because they work! Reducing the influence of pace and adjusting for strength of schedule gives a clearer picture of which teams are truly the best in the country, which will help you make better NCAA Tournament picks. That's why we list our own version of schedule-adjusted, tempo-free ratings on our yearly Ratings pages.

Here are this year's top 40 teams:

CFB Rivalry Finder

Posted by Neil on December 18, 2012

At the SR/College Football Play Index, we have a feature called the Rivalry Finder that you may not have seen before. Simply put, it will find the complete* history of head-to-games between any two schools.

(* = Within years both schools were classified as "major". To learn more about what that means, click here.)

So if you ever wanted to know how many times, say, Notre Dame and Alabama have faced off (and who won), just run this search in the Rivalry Finder:

Alabama versus Notre Dame

Alabama won 1 game and Notre Dame won 5 games.
Longest winning streak by Alabama: 1 game
Longest winning streak by Notre Dame: 4 games
Most points scored by Alabama: 28 (Oct 4, 1986)
