Introducing the Field Goal Finder

Posted by Jonah Gardner on January 14, 2016

We're proud to announce the newest addition to the Pro-Football-Reference Play Index: The Field Goal Finder. While previously, you've been able to use the Play Finder or the Game Finder to look up some FG data, the Field Goal Finder allows you easily search every field goal kicked by an NFL or AFL kicker since 1960. With this addition to the Play Index, you can answer questions like:

What was the longest made FG in the playoffs?

Who had the most FGs blocked in 2015?

Or, for masochistic Vikings fans, how many kickers have missed 27-yarders at home in the playoffs? Sorry y'all, it was just the one:

Thanks Jonah, a another nice addition.

Is there a way to search for Most FGs made of 50 Yards or longer in a Game and in a Season?

  2. Jonah Gardner Says:

Not at the moment, although that's a good idea for an option to add in down the line. For now, you'd have to go through the records year by year or game by game to see the season
