We've added a table of NFL Draft prospects with their ages, schools, and links to their college stats (where available). If you're wondering who that guy is you've heard your team is working out, this is the place to look.
Want a handy guide to each matchup of the tournament? Check out our game previews. Each contains the individual & team stats you need to know before watching the game. You can access them for the first round in the table below, and they're always available on the previews page & the main page as well.
Want to find brackets and boxscores from past NCAA Tournaments? Check out the Postseason Section of S-R/College Basketball. There, you'll find the bracket for every NCAA tourney ever played, along with boxscores of every all-time NCAA tournament game (click the scores in the brackets to see that game's boxscore).
Tempo-free stats have become all the rage in college basketball recently -- and why? Because they work! Reducing the influence of pace and adjusting for strength of schedule gives a clearer picture of which teams are truly the best in the country, which will help you make better NCAA Tournament picks. That's why we list our own version of schedule-adjusted, tempo-free ratings on our yearly Ratings pages.
With Spring Training getting into gear, here's a reminder that you can request for your site to be added to our player newsfeeds. To get started, all you have to do is write a post as you normally would and use our linker tool, causing baseball-reference player links to be automatically added. Then let us know you want to be included by sending us the following information:
The name of your site to appear in the feed (at most 25 characters)
The url for your rss feed (must be a full feed)
A contact e-mail address
The url of an example page with our links in place
We'll review your request, and try to get your content added as soon as we can. It's a great way to get your content out there, and it gives your readers quick access to player stats and information.
In case you want more info, here are two videos about how it works:
This is just a short post to let you know that I have added heat maps to the shooting splits. Here is an example:
The coloring is based on points scored, so areas with fewer points scored will have a blue shade while areas with more points scored will have a red shade.
The heat maps are generated on the fly, so when you drill down into the shooting splits the heat map will update as well. Be advised that for players who take a lot of shots (e.g., Kobe Bryant in 2005-06), the heat map may take a second or two to appear after the page is finished loading.
NFL free agency begins tomorrow afternoon, so we've put up our yearly list of available free agents that will be updated as players sign. Keep an eye on it to see who's still available & who's worth signing.
