The single individual Nordic combined event consisted of ski jumping on the normal hill at the Mt. Okura Ski Jump Stadium in the Miyanomori area of Chūō-ku, Sapporo. All competitors had three jumps, with the best two scores of each to count. The next day, 5 February, the skiers raced 15 km at the Sapporo cross-country complex, with the race starting and finishing in the Makomanai Ski Stadium.
