The 1934 European Champion was Swedenâs [Knut Fridell], who led after the third- and fourth-rounds to advance to the final round with Estonian [August Neo] and German [Erich Siebert], who was tied with Fridell for first. Fridell received a bye in the final and when Neo defeated Siebert by unanimous decision, the gold medal went to Fridel, with Neo winning silver.
