[Bernhoff Hansen] won three matches by falls to win this class. He would defend his AAU title in 1905. Hansen was listed as American in older records but he was still a Norwegian citizen in 1904. He defeated [Frank Kugler] in the final. Kugler won medals in St. Louis in tug-of-war, weightlifting, and wrestling, making him the only Olympian ever to win medals in three sports at one Olympic Games. Kugler has also been discovered to not be a US citizen, as is often seen, but was still a German national in 1904.
