Three boxers competed in the featherweight class. [Frank Haller] defeated [Fred Gilmore] in the first round but then lost a decision to [Oliver Kirk] in the final. Kirk had also won the gold medal in the bantamweight class, and is the only Olympic boxer ever to win two gold medals at one Olympic Games. The 1904 AAU Champion was T. F. Fitzpatrick but he was not entered in the Olympics.
