Sailing with partner [Antoine Sader] on the Maid of Lebanon, he finished a distant last place after failing to finish the third race or start in any of the subsequent ones. Zebouni spent nearly his entire life involved in the sport of sailing, serving as President of the Lebanese Union of Yacht Clubs, founding several clubs for various water sports, and writing a book on the history of yachting in Lebanon prior to the Civil War. He also served as the head of the Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon’s Maritime Commission from 1963 through 1964. By career, he was a medical doctor. In 1992 he moved to the United States and settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he lived until his death at the age of 100 in 2014.
