Biography

A front row forward, Willcocks made his county début for Devon in 1901 and in 1905 played against the touring All Blacks, who heavily beat the home side at Exeter. He later played for the adjoining county, Cornwall, and in 1908 was in their side against the touring Australians. The following year Willcocks was on the losing side when Durham beat Cornwall 12-0 in the final of the County Championship. However, there is some confusion about the precise identity of this athlete.
