Ture Wersäll won a bronze medal in tug-of-war at the 1906 Athina Olympics. The Swedish team lost its opening match to the Greek team, but then defeated Austria for the bronze medal. Wersäll was mostly known as a gymnast, representing the Stockholms Gymnastikförening. He had two brothers who competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics – [Claës-Axel Wersäll] won a gold medal in team gymnastics, while [Gustaf Wersäll] competed in the modern pentathlon. Their father was Claës Wersäll, who was minister of state, and finance minister in Kopparberg and Västmanland County.
