John Watson was a member of the host club for the 1904 Olympic golf tournament, Glen Echo Country Club. Watson placed 59th in match play qualifying and did not qualify. He shot 94 in qualifying for the consolation events to make the first flight, where he won one match, and then lost to [Doug Cadwallader] by 5&4. Watson played in the 1903 US Amateur, losing in round two.
