Biography

Ilona Váradi-Péter played singles and mixed doubles at the 1924 Paris Olympics, playing alongside Aurél von Kelemen in the latter event. Váradi-Péter won one match in each event before losing in the second round. Born in Budapest, she represented the Magyar Athletikai Club in that city. She was the first Hungarian female tennis player at the Olympics. Váradi-Péter won the Budapest International in 1922, 1924, and 1925 and Hungarian singles championships in 1922 and 1926.
