Biography

Shot putter Wilhelm Uebler came in sixth at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games while his teammate [Emil Hirschfeld] won the first ever German shot put medal (bronze). Between 1928 and 1930 Uebler participated in four international matches. Domestically he was runner-up from 1928-30 at the German Nationals and was German Police Champion in 1927. By profession he was a policeman and head of the department of physical exercises for the uniformed police in Fürth.

Personal Best: SP - 15.61 (1929).
