Imre TÃ³th learned his boxing in the 1960s in Vasas. During a long career of 14 years he won 420 of 455 bouts. TÃ³th was Hungarian Champion in 1972 and 1976. He competed at the 1971 European Championships in Madrid, winning one bout, but then losing to 1973 European silver medalist [Janusz Gortat]. During his career TÃ³th defeated several top European boxers. At the 1972 MÃ¼nchen Olympics he won his first round bout, but then lost to gold medalist and future professional World Champion [Mate Parlov] of Yugoslavia.
