Roland Svensson competed for Sweden in Greco-Roman at the 1968 Olympics, but did not win a medal. He did win a silver medal in Greco at 62 kg at the 1969 World Championships. He also competed at four European Championships from 1968-73 in Greco-Roman but never made a podium.
