Biography

Jeff Stork started college at Pierce College in 1981, but then transferred to Pepperdine where he played volleyball for his final three years. He made All-American all three years and led Pepperdine to the NCAA final game in 1983 and 1984, losing both times to UCLA. Stork was named to the All-NCAA Tournament Team both years.

Internationally, Stork was on the US National team from 1985-96, playing at the 1988, 1992, and 1996 Olympics, winning gold in 1988 and bronze in 1992. He won gold at the 1986 World Championships and the 1987 Pan American Games, and a silver at the 1986 Goodwill Games. Stork played professionally in Italy, and was named the Italian League MVP in 1993 while playing for Mediolanum Gonzaga. In 1990, he helped Maxicono won the 1990 Italian League title. He also played on the beach in the Bud Light 4-Man League, where he was twice named MVP, in 1991 and 1994.

Stork later became a coach, first as an assistant at Pepperdine, and then serving as head coach at Cal State Northridge. He was inducted into the US Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2012.
