Biography

German diver Lini Söhnchen came second in the springboard event at the 1927 European Championships, and at the Amsterdam Olympics the following year she finished sixth in the same event and made history as the first ever Olympian from Westfalia, although she had previously qualified for the 1916 Berlin Games, which were not held due to World War I. She was German springboard champion eight times between 1921-29.
