Biography

Josef Šebek competed in both singles and doubles at the 1912 Stockholm Olympic, alongside [Bohuslav “Černý” Hykš] in the later event. Šebek and Hykš lost in straight sets in the first round of doubles. Šebek made it to the fourth round of the singles, albeit with a bye in round one, and a walkover in round two, before defeating Norwegian [Noble Stibolt] in round three. Šebek was born and lived in Praha.
