Sam Schwartz competed in the 10 km walk at the 1912 Olympics, but did not make the final. He was a New York native who competed for the Pastime AC as a walker. Very little is known of his life, although he was noted to be one of three Jewish athletes on the 1912 USA Olympic team, along with [Alvah Meyer] and [Abel Kiviat].
