Biography

Martin Schröttle was German Champion with SC Riessersee in 1927, 1935, and 1938. He earned 37 international caps, scoring 8 goals, and was 1930 European Champion, when the German team placed second at the World Championships. In 1933 Schröttle took another bronze medal at the European Championships as part of the World Championships. In addition, he competed in two more Europeans (1929, 1932) and one World Championships (1935). He played at the 1928 St. Moritz Winter Olympics with Germany, with the team eliminated in the first round, and he won a bronze medal in 1932 at Lake Placid. Schröttle was later inducted into the German Hall of Fame for Ice Hockey. In 1955 he and [Franz Kreisel] wrote Eishockey in Wort und Bild.
