Lou Scott was a long-distance runner for Arizona State and later the Motor City Striders. He won the AAU 25 km. in 1962. In 1967 Scott won a silver medal in the Pan American Games 5K. At Eastern High School, Scott was the Michigan State Champion in the mile in 1962 and 1963, and also won the cross-country title in 1962.

Personal Bests: Mile – 4:04.9 (1964); 2 miles – 8:35.2 (1967); 5K – 13:46.4 (1968).
