Biography

At the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games Saar boxer Kurt Schirra was the only Saar boxer to win a first round bout, beating [Luis Aranguen] of Venezuela by a 2-1 decision in the featherweight division. Schirra then lost his second round bout to Hungarian [János Erdei] by a 3-0 points decision.
