Hans Schmid earned eight international ice hockey caps and was 1927 German Champion with SC Riessersee. He played at the 1928 St. Moritz Winter Olympics with Germany, with the team eliminated in the first round.. Schmid also was part of the German team at the 1927 European Championships winning a bronze medal. He was later inducted into the German Hall of Fame for Ice Hockey.
