Maurice Salomez ran several middle-distance events at the 1900 Paris Olympics, without distinction. He was second in the 800 m at the 1901 French championships. Salomez competed for the Racing Club de France. In World War I Salomez served as a medic and a major in the 246e Régiment d’Infanterie. He was killed while serving in a field hospital in Ville-sur-Cousances, Meuse, France. Salomez is remembered with a plaque on the town hall in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
