Biography

German swimmer Max Pape from Berlin won a silver medal at the 1906 Athina Olympics with the 4x250 metres freestyle relay. He also came in fourth in the one mile freestyle. Pape was also expected to compete at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics but did not travel to the USA.
