Biography

James O’Rourke, Jr. was an electrician from Yonkers, New York at the time of the 1964 Olympics. He and his boatmate, [Joseph Dronzek], won the AAU title in C-2 in both 1963 and 1964, the 1964 title qualifying them for the Tokyo Olympics. They represented the Yonkers Canoe Club, and later were part of the 1965 C-4 AAU Champions. O’Rourke also won the 1966 AAU title in C-1. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School.
