When Fernand Nisot played his first match for Belgium on 30 April 1911 he was only 16 years and 19 days old, the youngest Belgian débutant ever. In his career he earned 14 caps from 1911-20, scoring 10 goals although his club, Royal Léopold Club Brussels, played in the Second Division at the time. His last international match came at Antwerpen in 1920 against Spain in the quarter-finals of the Olympic tournament. He was a graduate of the military school in Bruxelles and was wounded three times in World War I.
