Mary Morton was a British sculptor and water color painter, who studied at the Bristol School of Art and the modeling department of the Royal College of Art. She mostly painted portraits, figures and buildings and modeled portrait reliefs, plaques and medals, using marble, bronze, ivory, plaster, silver, lead, and wood. Morton attended exhibitions in France and the United Kingdom. For almost 50 years she exhibited works at the Society of Women Artists and was a member of that group from 1935-65. In 1928, Morton was appointed Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
