Biography

Pat McDonough was a track pursuiter who won a silver medal in team pursuit at the 1984 Olympics. He also competed at the 1982 World Championships, placing 10th in team pursuit. McDonough was 1982 US Madison champion. He also competed in speed skating and won several national titles in that sport. McDonough later became a cycling coach, and was the director of the Lehigh Valley Velodrome in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania for 15 years. He was then named national track programs director for USA Cycling, and then in 2006, was made director of track programs for USA Cycling, a post he held until 2009.
