Harvey Lord competed for the University of Chicago and later the [Chicago AA]. In addition to competing in the 400 and 800 at the 1900 Paris Olympics, Lord finished third in the non-Olympic 800 metre handicap race. Lord was named for his maternal grandfather. He became a mining engineer.
