Biography

Francie Kraker was a middle distance runner for Long Island University, the University of Michigan and the Liberty Athletic Club. She was the 1970 AAU Indoor champion in the 800. Kraker started in coaching at the Huron and Greenville High Schools, and in 1975, at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, she held the first administrative athletic post in a Division I university after the passage of Title IX. She later married college track coach John Goodridge and became a college track coach at Wake Forest. Kraker-Goodridge became a member of the University of Michigan Hall of Fame and the Michigan Women’s Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Personal Bests: 440y – 56.2 (1971); 800 – 2:04.6 (1970); 1,500 – 4:12.78 (1972); 1 Mile – 4:42.5 (1971); 2 Miles – 11:09.8 (1971).
