Before World War I, Auguste Hilbert started as a footballer for the club in his hometown of Mamer. In 1926 he competed successfully in what must be regarded as an unofficial European Championship with the 4-/5-men bobsleigh. Exact results, however, are not available. Hilbert owned a furniture store.
