Biography

Willys Heyliger was a forward who made his international debút in a 5-0 win over Haiti in a four-team tournament in 1944. He took part in the 1948 CCCF (Confederación Centroamericana y del Caribe de Fútbol) Championship in Guatelama and two years later won a gold medal at the 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games, also in Guatemala. Heyliger also won a bronze medal at the 1955 Pan American Games and scored the first goal in a 3-2 win over Mexico. Heylinger scored five goals in 25 internationals, and his final appearance was in a 2-0 win over Cuba in the 1957 CCCF Championship.
