Biography

German swimmer Arthur Heina finished eighth in the semi-finals of the 200m breaststroke at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Unfortunately, only the best seven qualified for the final. In 1953 he again won a German national title with the SV 13 Gladbeck 4x200m breaststroke relay team alongside non-Olympians Walter and Siegfried Kruschinski and Lutz Ebbinghaus. Heina later was an international swimming breaststroke referee.
