Biography

Major Friedrich Gerhard was a dressage rider winning both the gold medal with the German team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, and the silver medal in the individual event. In 1933, his horse [Absinth] arrived at the Cavalry School Hannover and received his further education by Gerhard. He was then head of the school stable as a Lieutenant Colonel. Gerhard was one of the riding teachers of the double 1936 Olympic gold medal winner [Heinz Pollay].
