Biography

Bernard Fawcett was a member of the British ice hockey team at the 1928 Winter Olympics, playing three games. He was originally selected for the Great Britain squad for the 1931 World Championships in Poland but failed to make the cut. However, he was called up to the England team that played France and Scotland later in the year, and also in the series against Canada in 1932. Over the next two seasons he made further appearances for England against Austria, twice, and was selected for the England squad to tour the Continent in the winter of 1932-33. At home, Fawcett played for Cambridge University, the London Lions, and Queens Club in the period 1927-34. At the time of the 1928 Winter Olympics, he was just 18-years-old.
