Biography

Friedl Däuber was a German Alpine and Nordic skier participating in the 1936 Garmisch Winter Games. He came in sixth with the 4×10 km relay and 29th in the 18 km cross country race. In 1933 he was the German relay champion and participated in the Nordic World Championships. He also started at the legendary Holmenkollen race in 1935. As an Alpine skier he became the first German Slalom World Champion in 1932, after winning bronze in 1931. After World War II he became a sports administrator at his home club SK Berechtesgaden.
