Biography

The 7-metre class was only on the Olympic yachting program in 1908 and 1920 and Great Britain won the event on both occasions. Robert Coleman was a crew member in 1920 aboard [Cyril Wright]’s entry, Ancora, from the Royal Burnham Yacht Club. Born in Australia, he came to Europe to fight in France during World War I. He was married to Connie Machin, a sister of [Dorothy Wright], who was born Dorothy Machin.
