Biography

Claudia Clevenger was a breaststroker, who won the 1970 AAU title in the 200 metre breaststroke. She was second in the 100 metre breast at the 1971 AAU outdoors. In September 1971, Clevenger swam on a US team that set a world record of 4:27.3 in the 4x100 medley relay at a meet in Minsk, Belarus, in the former Soviet Union. She swam for DeAnza Swim Club and attended DeAnza College from 1973-74. Clevenger later worked as a bookkeeper.
