Biography

Sofie Castenschiold played mostly for [Kjøbenhavns Boldklub], known as KB. Castenschiold won the first Danish women’s singles title in 1906 and won it five times consecutively through 1910. Castenschiold won a silver medal in women’s indoor singles at the 1912 Olympics. She played Wimbledon singles in 1910-11, losing in the quarters in 1910.
