Biography

Greg Boyer played water polo at UC Santa Barbara, helping them win the 1979 NCAA Championship. Boyer was named to the US National Team in 1981 but missed the 1984 Olympics, although he played in two World Championships and four World Cups. Boyer helped the US win gold at the 1987 Pan American Games. When his playing career ended, after the 1988 Olympics, Boyer became an international referee, working at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He and his family settled near his home in Newport Beach, California, where Boyer worked as an attorney in Laguna Beach. He attended law school at Western State University in Fullerton, California.
