Biography

Lisa “Louise” Bianchini was a Swedish painter, who was married to painter Artur Bianchini. She was educated at the art school of the Swedish Artists Association in Stockholm under Anders Zorn, Richard Bergh, Aron Jerle and Fanny Hjelm. Bianchini made study trips to Denmark, Finland and Germany. She later specialized in miniature painting, created watercolor paintings on ivory including a portrait of playwright Strindberg and other famous Swedes as well as child portraits, small-format marine images, outdoor paintings and nudes. For some time, Bianchini was the chairperson of the Swedish Artists Association. Her works were mainly presented in Scandinavia.
