Italian sculptor Angelo Bertolazzi completed his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, and then produced several funeral monuments. He mainly worked with marble and exhibited frequently in Italy. Some of his works were the torso of a young girl at the Second Quadrennial National Art in Roma in 1925, Adriana Gambaroda at the Venezio Biennale of 1936, and the Child Lombard for the exhibition of the 1941 National Union of Fascists.
