Biography

Gaston Aumoitte played croquet at the 1900 Paris Olympics, winning gold medals in both one-ball singles and doubles. In doubles he played alongside [Georges Johin], who Aumoitte defeated in the finals of the singles. They were only known competitors in the doubles event. Aumoitte was only 15-years-old when he competed in Paris. He was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, but it is not known why he was there or how he came to Paris.
