Paraguayan Primera División Stats Now on FBref

Posted by Alex Bonilla on August 9, 2019

The latest addition to FBref's coverage is the Paraguayan Primera División, which the site now has player statistics for back to the 2016 season. FBref is also updating the latest scores and stats from its 2019 Clausura. Various young Paraguayans in major leagues around the world got their start in Primera División. Josué Colmán made 43 starts with Cerro Porteño in his age-17 and 18 seasons before moving on to Orlando City in the MLS. Colmán's teammate at Cerro, Julio Villalba, went on to join Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

Currently leading Primera Division in goals (Apertura and Clausura combined) is Roque Santa Cruz, who won multiple championships with Bayern Munich in the early 2000s and also spent time in the Premier League and La Liga before returning to his home country. Santa Cruz has scored 13 goals in each of the last 2 seasons and will celebrate his 38th birthday later this month.

Chris Segal is a horse shit umpire. You don't throw out players without knowing who said the magic word. And if your strike zone were more consistent, they wouldn't bitch at you. Rabbit ears.
