2016 MLB Draft Tools
Posted by Mike Lynch on June 8, 2016
The 2016 MLB Draft will be held from June 9-11, so here are some tools to get you ready:
- Baseball-Reference.com Draft section - Search through every pick in the history of the draft, with multiple ways to slice & dice.
- 2016 MLB Draft Preview - Draft order for the first 3 rounds & best players selected in those slots over the years.
I’m not really sure what that post is supposed to say, but if you mean that there are people in the draft that didn’t succeed, then yes, every draft has it’s misses. You should take a closer look though, High School arms are the riskiest and most volatile of any players drafted.
I think in large part, this draft shows that the braves seem to be looking at a more long term game than a short term (competing next year or really 2018). The arms they drafted are probably 4+ years from making any real contribution to the ML team.
