Overview

The single individual event consisted of an 18 km ski race, with the start and finish in the Olympic Ski-Stadion. The 1936 Nordic combined used the results from the open 18 km race, rather than a separate race. This was followed one day later by ski jumping, with all jumpers having two attempts on the Große Olympia-Schanze, both marks to count. There was a separate jumping competition.
